British embassy sends Ukraine's NABU info on Narirov's passport

Gough was responding to assertions by Nasirov about misinformation about his possession of British passport. As earlier reported, the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine suspects Nasirov of committing crimes pursuant to Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (misuse of public office leading to serious consequences). Kyiv's Solomyansky District Court on March 7 remanded Nasirov in custody for 60 days and set bail at UAH 100 million. Ukraine's Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), meanwhile, requested the court set bail at UAH 2 billion. On March 16, SAPO said Nasirov and his wife had posted UAH 100 million bail. On March 30, NABU turned down Nasirov's request to leave Ukraine for medical treatment. Kyiv's District Solomyansky District Court on June 2 turned down a request by Nasirov to change the terms of his pretrial detention. NABU detectives and SAPO agents filed a motion to recover UAH 100 million bail from Nasirov because he did not turn in his British passport. The court rejected the motion and its decision cannot be appealed.British Embassy Kyiv stands by the letter sent to NABU on 6 March 2017 and subsequent material provided by UK Passport Office to Ukr side https://t.co/0X2vDnmv5P
