Ukraine expects IMF decision on second tranche under EFF program in July – Yatseniuk

Ukraine expects that the board of directors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will make a positive decision on the provision of the second tranche of $1.7 billion under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) in July, and the country must pass the required draft laws and fulfill all other preliminary conditions by then, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"We expect that the board of directors will hold a meeting in July. By July all the preliminary conditions are to be observed," he said while opening a cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Friday after his visit to Washington this week.
As reported, the IMF mission arrived in Kyiv on May 12. Initially, the mission planned to finish its work in late May or early June. At present, discussions with the Ukrainian authorities continue at the expert level to achieve a final agreement.
