AsMAP opens first phase of TIR parking complex on orbital road of Boryspil

The Association of International Automobile Carriers of Ukraine (AsMAP) has opened a first phase of a TIR parking complex on the orbital road of Boryspil, reads a press release issued during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The press release says that the parking area was built in line with the Label third service and safety level, and foresees the provision of some services to Ukrainian-made and foreign trucks.

The following services will be provided: security services, services for personal hygiene, a room for laundry, ironing, computer services, a mini café, a lounge for drivers and lot booking services.

In the future it is planned to build the second phase of the complex, with the expansion of the TIR parking area, washing of trucks, their weighing, tire fitting, installation and repair of tachographs, diagnostics and certification of trucks, sale of spare parts, installation, repair and tuning of radio stations, massage and trainer services, a mini market, a center for issuing permits of the Ukrainian State Inspectorate for Safety at Overland Transport, a representative office of the First Insurance Company, ATMs or a bank branch and premises for truck servicing.

At the third phase of the complex development it is planned to build a hotel for drivers and a dealer center for selling trucks.

The press release also says that the government has started developing the road infrastructure, and AsMAP supports these steps.

"AsMAP has found the resources to build a TIR parking complex itself, which is intended to create the proper conditions for international haulers," reads the press release.
