Military in southern Odesa region receive searchlights to detect "shahed"
Border guards of Bessarabia and the National Guard have received 14 Spaceray anti-drone searchlights designed to detect enemy UAVs and adjust anti-aircraft fire at night.
This was reported by the team of the Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance, which handed over the searchlights.
The Chairman of the Board of the Alliance, Professor Yuriy Maslov, emphasized that this was made possible thanks to cooperation with foreign partners, in particular the Christian Protestant organization IRR-TV FINLAND.
"Every day is spent looking for new allies, new friends of Ukraine and ways in which we could be helped to fight the enemy and protect our compatriots. Attracting support from international partners and uniting them to achieve a specific goal is what the Alliance was created for and what we are successfully doing," said Yuriy Maslov.
The team of the Alliance for Restoration of Ukraine says that the new searchlights have already proved themselves during the latest Shahedi attack on the Danube ports of Odesa region: they allow detecting targets at a distance of up to 2 kilometers, even if the drone is camouflaged with black matte paint.
"We used the funds received from our European friends to purchase Ukrainian-made anti-drone searchlights, thus supporting both our defenders and the domestic defense industry. Such a responsible approach to the search, purchase and distribution of special military and humanitarian aid by civil society organizations is what will allow us to defeat the aggressor," said Veniamin Unguryan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Ukraine Rebuilding Alliance, deputy of the Odesa Regional Council.
