Galaxy School and Hrabar Foundation create new opportunities for military and displaced children
The educational program, designed specifically for families of military personnel and immigrants, combines the efforts of two large organizations aimed at helping children and families in difficult life circumstances.
Kids Galaxy, a network of licensed children's educational institutions, which has been consistently demonstrating its social responsibility for a long time, has joined forces with the Hrabar Foundation to provide quality education for children from military families and internally displaced persons. Given the current situation in the country, for many displaced persons from the occupied territories and hot spots, this program becomes particularly significant.
Lyudmila Maslak, CEO of Kids Galaxy and Galaxy School, reports: "This project is our sincere desire to help those families who really need it. We are focused on providing quality education for children and creating a safe learning environment for our students. Also, by providing work to resettled women, we help them provide for their families and rebuild their lives."
The founder of the Hrabar Foundation, Nazar Hrabar, added: "We are founded on the belief that every child deserves a chance to get a quality education. We strive to realize this dream of Elijah and become guardian angels for the children who need our help the most. Our cooperation with Galaxy School is a step in this direction."
Lyudmila Golub, a representative of the Hrabar Foundation, a foundation founded in memory of her son who died in the war, shares: "My role in the foundation is to help children by providing them with opportunities for education and sports, regardless of the realities of war. My team and I "We are trying to create a peaceful future for the young generation of Ukraine. I am sure that every child should have the right to a carefree childhood and a decent education, despite the political circumstances in our country,"- Lyudmila says.
All premises of Galaxy School and Kids Galaxy kindergartens are equipped in accordance with all requirements of the State Emergency Service, which guarantees the safety and comfort of children during their stay in the institutions.
By providing work to women with IDP status, Galaxy School and Kids Galaxy also contribute to stabilizing the lives of these families, helping them adapt to new realities.
The scholarship program provides access to quality education and comprehensive support for children from families of military personnel and internally displaced persons. Children who receive a grant will be able to learn English, have access to modern educational programs, attend art and technical clubs, and various sports sections.
The free education and employment program for displaced women by Kids Galaxy and Galaxy School, in collaboration with the Hrabar Foundation, is an example of how organizations can come together to support those going through difficult times. She demonstrates that when we join forces, we can change people's lives for the better.
"Kids Galaxy" receives significant help from European funds in the form of grants aimed at improving the learning process and creating a safe environment for children. These grants allow them to implement progressive methods of education and training, which are successfully used in European schools. In addition, they are constantly improving classrooms and shelters, providing children with maximum comfort and safety.
Parents of "Kids Galaxy" pupils always support them in all their endeavors, actively participating in charity fairs and celebrations. Even the children themselves join in these activities. From a young age, they are instilled with a sense of national identification, love for their native country, as well as an understanding of the importance of mutual aid and compassion for other people.
Recently, the "Kids Galaxy" community has been focusing its efforts on helping women and children who have been in war zones and their adaptation to new conditions.
Specialists help children adapt and feel safe again. They always support parents at all stages of adaptation, and a circle of trust and support works for mothers of children. This project allows women to provide each other with support, advice and assistance in various situations.
In "Kids Galaxy" they understand each other's pain. After all, the director's hometown, small Gulyaipole, Zaporizhzhia region, has been under constant fire since the first days of the full-scale invasion and, unfortunately, has been almost completely destroyed.
This pain is deeply felt. Therefore, they understand here that it means losing one's parental home, losing a safe place to which one can always return in difficult moments. Here they understand how difficult it is to start life over.
At one time, "Kids Galaxy" decided to help such women, to help them as much as they can and with what they can. So currently, almost 80% of the "Kids Galaxy" team is made up of women with IDP certificates.
They are talented, professional educators and teachers who lost everything, but did not lose faith in the victory of their country. These women come to their pupils every day with an open heart and teach them to believe and not to give up.
For "Kids Galaxy", age, appearance, status or registration do not matter. The most important thing for them is that each person always remains a person.
They are simple and open, sincere and empathetic. In the same way, other people come into their lives. Thus, "Kids Galaxy" is constantly expanding its family.
Together, they work hard to make their kindergartens not only centers of quality European education, but also a place where children who will change the world grow up.
They teach their students by example that no matter what, people who unite for good are capable of anything. They believe that this philosophy is the main value of "Kids Galaxy" and is the basis of their success. This is what allows them to move forward and overcome any difficulties.
