Taiwan purchased powerful equipment for Zaporizhia
31 powerful generators for "Unbreakable" points and other public institutions of Zaporizhia were transferred by the government of Taiwan together with the "New Hope" charitable foundation. Government organizations in Taiwan have responded to requests from city authorities to help the city with equipment.
31 units were purchased and delivered for the needs of the city:
27 generators with a capacity of 8 kVA,
2 generators with a capacity of 20 to 25 kVA,
2 high-power generators - 40 kVA.
- Today, Zaporizhia is a large city of refuge for thousands people who were to leave the temporarily occupied territories. Therefore, points "Unbreakable" work for many citizens and people who came to Zaporizhia from other cities. The government and the people of Taiwan are one of the important partners and friends of Ukraine and, in particular, of Zaporizhia. Andriy Kolesnyk, head of the "New Hope" charitable foundation, is convinced that Taiwan's governmental organizations will continue to help in providing the urgent needs of the city.
More than 125 urban points "Unbreakable" work in the regional center. Due to constant enemy shelling of the energy infrastructure, there are risks of mass blackouts, including in Zaporizhzhia. Availability of reserve capacities for various institutions of the city is crucial.
27 received generators have already been installed in Zaporizhia points "Unbreakable", arranged on the basis of territorial information centers. Another generator will soon be connected in gymnasium No. 101. Thanks to this, a full-fledged point "Unbreakable" will also work here - already the twenty-second in the Shevchenkivs district. We thank to the government of Taiwan and Foreign Minister Dr. Joseph Wu for their support - stressed Anatoliy Kurtev, secretary of the Zaporizhya City Council. During the handover of the equipment, Yulii Belov, board member of the "New Hope" charitable foundation, said that thanks to cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations of Taiwan, a number of other projects will be implemented in the city.
- We are currently determining which sectors are most vulnerable and need assistance in terms of equipment or re-equipment. In particular, the Taiwanese side is considering the possibility of participating in projects in the fields of medicine and education, Yuliy Belov clarified.
