Enemy has partial success near Lukyantsi in Kharkiv region, advancement stopped – AFU General Staff

The enemy forces mounted eleven attacks in the Kharkiv axis, two combat clashes continue at the moment, the adversary had partial success in the vicinity of Lukyantsi, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have stopped its advancement, the General Staff of the AFU has said on Monday.

"In the Kharkiv axis, the enemy does not stop its offensive operations. As of 14:00, May 13, 2024, it mounted eleven attacks, and two combat clashes continue at the moment. The enemy does not stop trying to push the defense forces from their positions. It had partial success in the vicinity of Lukyantsi. The enemy's advancement was stopped," it said on the Telegram channel on Monday.

The defense forces conduct counter-attacking operations. The reserves, which had been formed in advance, have been transferred to the Kharkiv direction with the aim of strengthening the army there.

"Depending on further developments, the building up of the group will continue. The forces are provided with necessary number of weapons," the General Staff said.

The enemy forces also inflicted eight air strikes on the vicinities of Udy, Vovchansk, Lyptsi, Hrafske, and Vesele in Kharkiv region.

Since the beginning of the day, the enemy forces lost 97 soldiers and eight units of military equipment in the Kharkiv axis.
