Enemy focuses assault operations on Klischiyivka, Andriyivka, Ukrainian forces have much better defense positions – Third Separate Assault Brigade

The enemy's assault operations are currently focused on the areas of Klischiyivka and Andriyivka, however it does not succeed, the press officer of the Third Separate Assault Brigade Oleksandr Borodin has said.

"The enemy is currently concentrated on the assault operations on the right flank in the vicinity of Klischiyivka and Andriyivka. It can be stated that there were 15 assault attempts in this area over the past 24 hours. Not to mention artillery, air and drone attacks," he said on the air of the national telethon on Tuesday.

According to Borodin, the enemy conducts mostly dense infantry offensives in the vicinity of Bakhmut, while a lot of armored vehicles are used in the Avdiyivka area.

"However, they [the occupation forces] see no success," he said.

The enemy has very poor defense positions, unlike the Ukrainian forces whose defense positions are much better.

"We have much better defense positions. Enemy attacks by artillery systems, drones and aircraft are rather intensive. At some point, when they find it necessary and think we are tired, they send infantry. The infantry usually gets no results and retreats – and then it happens again. Sometimes, when their infantry comes closer, we have to engage into very fierce fighting at a distance of 50-100 meters, but this happens no so often now. In most cases, they do not come so close. And this happens again all the time. We can already describe it as trench warfare of attrition," the press officer said.
