Mykolaiv administration governor on situation in Mykolaiv: Russian troops left, townspeople are safe
Governor of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitaliy Kim has said that Russian troops had left Mykolaiv, and now the townspeople are safe.
"They [occupiers] left towards Snihurivka. And they went to bypass our city. I don't know, they can go to Yuzhnoukrainsk, in theory. Or they will go to Kirovohrad, Kryvy Rih. To close the ring closer to the Dnipro River. Closer to strategic enterprises. That is, they are far from Mykolaiv. The townspeople are safe," Kim said in Telegram on Tuesday.
He said that currently the fighting is going on in the settlements of Bashtanka and Snihurivka. People in villages stop Russian equipment. Civilians take the Russians prisoner.
"Now we are going to pick up [captured Russians]," he said, adding that at the moment he considers Mykolaiv "the safest city."
