Ukraine reports 2 WIA amid 24 enemy attacks in Donbas in past day

Russia's hybrid military forces have mounted 24 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, with two Ukrainian soldiers reported as wounded in action (WIA), the press centre of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has reported.
"The enemy opened fire on the positions of our troops 24 times, including four times with weapons banned by the Minsk agreements. Over the past day, two Ukrainian defenders have been injured. There have been no casualties among Ukrainian troops since the beginning of the day," the press center of the JFO said in its update on Facebook on Wednesday morning.
Russian occupation forces opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms to attack the defenders of the town of Avdiyivka, and the villages of Artema, Novotoshkivske, Krymske, Zaitseve, Zalizne, Novomykhailivka, Pisky, Chermalyk, Hnutove, Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne. In certain areas, the enemy employed infantry fighting vehicles.
Using heavy weapons, the enemy fired 120mm mortars at the Ukrainian positions near Zalizne and Hnutove, as well as 82mm mortars at the defenders of Avdiyivka and Chermalyk.
"At Wednesday midnight, Russian-led forces have mounted four attacks on the Ukrainian positions outside Pavlopil, Lebedynske and Vodiane," the report says.
According to intelligence reports, two enemy troops were killed and another one was wounded.
