Ukraine's Chief Military Prosecutor's Office has launched criminal proceedings against 79 people, including 49 Russian citizens, since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation (April 2014) over the cases of Russian armed aggression.

According to a report posted on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine (PGO) on Wednesday, December 20, 43 indictments against 46 people (including 20 Russian citizens) were sent to court, and 32 people are on the wanted list.

The courts sentenced 30 people to imprisonment for a term of 3 to 15 years, among them 11 Russian citizens, including three regular servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces.

"These court decisions recognized the fact of Russia's waging aggressive war against Ukraine," the report says.

In addition, the courts considered 26 criminal proceedings opened for high treason, for crimes against public security, and for waging an aggressive war.

In 24 proceedings, convictions were issued against 24 persons, with real imprisonment for a term of 3 to 12 years. Military prosecutors currently consider 90 proceedings for these crimes, of which 78 persons have already been notified of suspicion.
