Illegal armed formations attack Ukrainian positions 16 times in Donbas in past 24 hours

Illegal armed formations attacked Ukrainian positions in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) zone in eastern Ukraine 16 times and no Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded, the press center of the ATO Headquarters has reported.
"The situation in the area of ATO in the evening remained complicated with a tendency to aggravate. Russian-occupation forces continued to violate the Minsk agreements and applied prohibited weapons, in particular mortars and heavy artillery," the press center said on its Facebook page on Tuesday morning.
In the Lugansk section, the Svitlodar arc remained the epicenter of enemy fire activity. After the shelling of the settlement Novoluhanske earlier, where the enemy used multiple rocket launchers against civilians and released at least 40 rockets, the shelling in that area did not stop during the dark hours.
In particular, ten 122-mm artillery shells and more than forty heavy 120-mm mines fell near Travneve, and about twenty 122-mm shells exploded around Hladosove. Also, with mortars of various types, the enemy intensively fired on Ukrainian defense points near Luhansk and Lozova.
In general, during the past day, only in the vicinity of these frontline settlements militants fired about two hundred munitions.
In other key sections it was relatively quiet in the evening.
"Military servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with other representatives of the law enforcement agencies continue to provide assistance to the affected residents of Novoluhanske. In the first minutes after the barbaric shelling by Russian mercenaries of this settlement, Ukrainian military physicians stabilized the condition of eight victims, including one child. The victims were sent to the nearest in-patient medical institutions," the press center said.
