Resolution of Donbas conflict not advance further without OSCE’s full control

The issue of resolving the conflict in Donbas won’t advance further without full control of the situation by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM), the Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has said.

"If the SMM doesn’t control the situation one hundred percent or even more, we will not advance," he said on the "Left Bank with Sonia Koshkina" program aired by 24 TV channel.

According to Klimkin, the day-and-night presence of the OSCE SMM in Donbas is the main goal for Ukraine.

He also said that it is necessary to extend the mandate of the mission for its effective operation, which will help to control the entire territory of Donbas and the border around the clock, as well as provide all the necessary technical means for the SMM.

The minister also said that there are people who work for Russia in the personnel of OSCE SMM.

"The problem with the effectiveness of the mission is, of course, those who work for Russia’s sake, and we are well aware of it ... Of course, there are people who are trying to transmit the mission’s information further," Klimkin said.
