NSDC secretary complains of insufficient defense and technical cooperation with strategic partners of Ukraine

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov has said that the level of defense and technical cooperation with the country's strategic partners is not sufficient.

"Most regrettably, to my opinion, the mistaken position of some European politicians is that one cannot tease the aggressor. This is the Munich syndrome, which, unfortunately, still exists today. It results in the absence of effective defense and technical cooperation with our strategic partners. First, this concerns lethal arms. That's why our top-priority is development of the defense and industrial complex, resumption of the potential the country had 20 or 30 years ago," he said, speaking at the Ukrainian Defense & Security Forum 2016 organized under the patronage of the Defense Ministry and State Concern Ukroboronprom in Kyiv on Thursday.

Turchynov said that a wide range of activities is open for Ukraine, starting from small arms and ending powerful missile weapons, armored vehicles, aircraft and other products.
