EU was ready to pay wages to some Ukrainian officials, Yatseniuk refused - Saakashvili

The European Union was ready to pay wages to some Ukrainian officials, first to all, to law enforcement officers, to support reforms, but Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk refused the proposal, Head of Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili has said in an interview aired on SavikShusterStudio.
"Europeans were ready this year to pay wages to our officials... several thousands of officials, mainly to investigators, tax authorities, officials in the ministries making important decisions... The premier said "You know, I'm not ready if not everybody is paid," Saakashvili said.
Asked by Savik Shuster, the politician added that the EU was ready to issue money for this purpose under the model, which was used in Georgia.
