Ukraine, Italy law enforcement agencies set up working panel on cooperation

Ukraine and Italy have set up a working panel on cooperation between their law enforcement ministries, the press service of Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported on Wednesday.
"The group's members will deal with the aspects of cooperation between the interior ministries of the two states, in particular with the application of Italy's practical experience in police work under new conditions, as well as the issues of a mutual recognition of driving licenses," the report said.
The ministry said that in April 2015 Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, during his official visit to Italy, met with his Italian colleague Angelino Alfano and discussed the reform of the Ukrainian law enforcement system, the introduction of a visa-free regime with EU, the implementation of the Minsk agreements by Ukraine, and violations of the ceasefire by Russia.
The meeting resulted in an agreement to finish preparations on signing an agreement between the governments of the two countries on mutually recognizing the driving licenses issued by the two states, to be signed by the end of 2015.
