Death toll in Sartana shell attacks rises to three – media

A woman who was injured in a shell attack on Sartana on the eastern outskirts of Mariupol on August 16 died in City Hospital No. 4 of Donetsk region on Tuesday morning, according to local media reports.
"As Sartana settlement head Stepan Makhsma reported, doctors fought for the life of the Mariupol citizen for over 24 hours, but this morning the woman's heart stopped beating," '0629' edition said, referring to its own sources.
The ten-year old daughter of the deceased woman is still undergoing treatment in Hospital No. 3. She underwent an operation to amputate her foot and will undergo further treatment and rehabilitation in Slovenia.
"So now the number of the victims as a result of the shell attack on the settlement grew to three people. Seven persons required hospitalization, under the fresh data," '0629' said.
As reported, areas on the outskirts of Mariupol were shelled by heavy artillery at around 22:00 on Sunday. Around 50 houses were damaged and two buildings were completely destroyed as a result of the shelling.
