Defense expenses will total 5% of GDP in 2016 state budget – Yatseniuk

Defense expenses in the 2016 state budget will total 5% of GDP, Ukrainian Prime Minster Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"I'll be frank with you – the budget 2016 will be very intense. This is connected to firstly defense expenses at 5% of GDP, these are unprecedented expenses," Yatseniuk said at a meeting with the leaders of regional state administrations in Khmelnytsky on Thursday.
He went on to say "secondly, we will lose income we had from the National Bank, thirdly, we'll lose income from imports duty, fourthly, if this year we have foreseen UAH 24 bullion for subsidies, for 2016 it's twice as much, fifthly, we'll increase the income of the people. It costs UAH 12 billion this year alone, plus you can count [the figure] for next year."
