Situation in Ukraine, relations with Russia at heart of next EU summit – Tusk

The EU summit due to be held on March 19 will cover the situation in Ukraine and relations with Russia.
In his invitation letter to the European Council meeting, President of the European Council Donald Tusk said that these two issues will be discussed at a dinner in Brussels on the same day.
"The situation in Ukraine and relations with Russia will be at the heart of our dinner discussion, with a particular emphasis on the next steps," reads the official letter from Tusk.
Earlier on Wednesday a senior European official, speaking anonymously, told journalists that the European Council President, under an agreement with EU member states, will draft proposals on how to link sanctions with the full implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
According to the source, some details are to be discussed, but he believes the summit participants will keep the sanctions against Russia in place until the Minsk Agreements are implemented.
The EU summit will take place in Brussels on March 19-20.
