Luhanskteplovoz plans in February to make nine sections of diesel locomotives - CEO

PJSC Luhanskteplovoz, which is owned by Russia's Transmashholding (TMH), plans in February this year to produce nine sections of diesel locomotives, while in January the plant manufactured ten sections, fully implementing the production plan, company CEO Petro Karpov has said.

"Currently the company's work is planned to maintain and keep energy and production capacity, as well as implement shift-day tasks according to the budget of the production plan for the current month," Karpov told Interfax-Ukraine.

At the same time, he said the company is faced with great difficulties in organizing material and technical provision and shipping finished products to customers in the conditions of continuing hostilities in Luhansk region and the introduction of new restrictive measures to block transportation.

"With this in mind, the forecasting of future work for a longer period is problematic," the CEO said.

He said in 2014 the plant fully fulfilled production tasks and saw a positive financial result. Luhanskteplovoz over the past year had no arrears in payments to the national budget and payroll.

"As of February 1, the agreed business plan of PJSC Luhanskteplovoz for 2015 remains in force," the plant director said.
