The trilateral Contact Group (TCG) looking for a political solution to the conflict in eastern Ukraine held a meeting in Kyiv on Thursday ahead of consultations with representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, the press service of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) said.
The Contact Group, which consists of representatives of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE, met in Kyiv "in preparation for the planned consultations of the TCG with representatives of certain areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Minsk," the press service said.
"The TCG stands ready for these consultations and is waiting for the confirmation of the attendance of all signatories to the Minsk agreements," it said.
