Militants most active in Debaltseve direction, Donetsk airport shelled twice - NSDC

The most active attacks by militants on the positions of the anti-terrorist operation forces in the past 24 hours have been recorded in the area of Debaltseve (Donetsk region), National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.
"Near the village of Olkhovatka, militants fired on the base camp of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Grad launchers. Our positions near the village of Nikishyne came under Grad and mortar fire three times, near the village of Novoorlivka four times, near the village of Chornukhyne four times, and near the village of Mius seven times. Militants fired from tanks and artillery on the positions of the anti-terrorist operation forces near the settlements of Ridkodub, Maloorlivka, Orlovo-Ivanivka, Kamianka, and Debaltseve," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
He said that in the Donetsk direction militants had shelled twice from artillery units and small arms the positions of Ukrainian soldiers at the airport.
Ukrainian positions near Avdiyivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Mayorske, and Slavne came under mortar and grenade launcher fire. In the same direction militants used tanks, grenade launchers, mortars, small arms and sniper rifles to shell a checkpoint near the village of Leninske. Positions near Novokalynove were fired from Grad multiple launch rocket systems.
