Most ATO soldiers were able to vote in parliamentary elections - NSDC

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council has said that most soldiers participating in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donbas have voted in the elections for the Verkhovna Rada.

"Ukrainian units of the ATO forces that are at the front or in other dangerous areas were not able to vote, but the overwhelming majority of soldiers were able to use their right to vote," NSDC information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.

However, he did not mention the exact number of soldiers who voted.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said that up to 10,000 ATO soldiers would vote in Ukraine's early parliamentary elections.
