Three soldiers killed in east Ukraine in past 24 hours - NSDC

Three Ukrainian military servicemen have been killed and 12 injured in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours, said Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman for the National Security and Defense Council.
"Three Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and 12 injured in the past 24 hours," Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"The city was not quiet overnight. Between 7.30 p.m. October 7 and 2.20 a.m. October 8 there were reports of renewed shelling of the Kuibyshevsky and Kyivsky districts. As a result of shell strikes, property number 32 on Yeryomenko Street and house number 41 on Sadova Street were totally destroyed, residential house number 98 on Krupskaya Street was destroyed, as was a balcony in tower block number eleven on Batyschev Street. As a result of the hostilities in Donetsk on October 8 three civilians were killed and four more sustained various injuries," the authorities said on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the interior ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) told Interfax that the Ukrainian shelling of residential areas in Donetsk left eight civilians injured.
