Russian troops rotating in eastern Ukraine, new forces not added - NSDC

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has said that Russia is not increasing the presence of its units in Ukraine, but is conducting a troop rotation, and the situation remains unchanged on the border between Crimea and mainland Ukraine.
"We have information that there are already enough forces there, and the Russians are already carrying out a rotation of these forces. That is, they are not adding forces, but are changing the units that entered Ukraine, removing these units to Russia, and bringing in new ones from Russia," NSDC information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing on Wednesday.
He noted that the situation in Crimea remained unchanged and calm.
"There are no movements in the direction of Ukraine, but enough forces were concentrated on the border with the mainland Ukraine," Lysenko said.
He said that Ukrainian units deployed on the border between Crimea and the mainland Ukraine were holding their positions and monitoring the movements of the enemy.
