Ukrainian government forces control 23 of 36 districts in ATO area - NSDC secretary

The anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces have taken control of 23 of the 36 districts in the ATO area in eastern Ukraine, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Andriy Parubiy has said.

"The activity of gangs of insurgents has dropped, and their equipment is being destroyed... As of today, the state authorities control 23 out of the 36 districts," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday.
