Situation in Ukraine to be discussed at UN Security Council on March 28, 31
The UN Security Council will hold meetings on the situation in Ukraine on Friday, March 28, and Monday, March 31, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
"The UN Security Council will listen in a closed-door format to consultations by the UN Secretary General about the results of his visit to Russia and Ukraine, which Ban Ki-moon carried out in the framework of a 'good deeds' mission so that the UN can assist in conflict resolution," Ukrainian Foreign Minister information policy department director Yevhen Perebyinis said at a briefing.
These consultations will be the ninth UN Security Council meeting regarding Ukraine, Perebyinis said.
"Upon the initiative of chairing Lithuania and Ukraine, the UN Security Council will hold an open meeting on March 31 regarding the situation in Ukraine," he said.
A delegation of all UN countries and representatives of non-governmental organizations and civil communities will be able to attend this meeting, Perebyinis said.
