Ukraine parliament okays new govt's program

Ukraine's parliament on Thursday approved the program of the newly formed Cabinet of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk.

The program was supported by 294 of the 389 MPs registered in the parliament session hall.

Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov, who is also parliament chairman, said the program had been handed out to deputies before the vote. Yatseniuk set out its main points in a speech to parliament before being appointed prime minister.
