Presidential administration to start working on Monday - Turchynov
The Ukrainian presidential administration will resume its work before the end of February 24, Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov said.
"I held a meeting. The administration will resume work as early as today," Turchynov said at a conciliatory council meeting in parliament on Monday.
Turchynov is currently the acting head of state.
I have ordered "payments (salaries) due to the administration to include only salaries for those people who remained in their workplaces and continued performing their duties in the interests of the State," the parliament speaker said. All the other allocated budget funds should be spent on social programs, he also said.
The same approach should be applied "to other governmental bodies regarding the restriction of their funding in the conditions under which we are currently working," the speaker said.
