President proposes parliament vote for amnesty for arrested Euromaidan protesters on Tuesday

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has proposed that the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, on Tuesday to vote for an amnesty for people detained during the mass protests in Kyiv.

"As for punishments for guilty people: if we're sure [people are guilty] – let's punish them. If people are victims – let's take a decision and vote for amnesty on Tuesday. Let's sweep away all these questions hanging over everyone," Yanukovych said at the nationwide roundtable in Ukraina Palace on Friday.
