Parliament already explained refusal to dismiss Azarov-led government – Yanukovych

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said that Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) has already explained to the opposition and society why it failed to dismiss the present government.
"The procedure of the cabinet's dismissal envisions a vote in parliament and only then the president's relevant steps. Voting has taken place, and you saw this," the presidential press service quoted Yanukovych as saying at a Friday meeting with students regarding the opposition's demand on dismissing the government led by Mykola Azarov.
The Verkhovna Rada turned down a motion on expressing no confidence in Azarov's government on December 3, as only 186 parliamentarians voted for this, while the minimum number of votes to express no confidence in the government is 226.
