The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has proposed to ban placing advertisements on the glass surfaces of the public transport.

A relevent bill on amendments to the Article 18 of the Ukrainian law "On advertising" was registered at Verkhovna Rada on August 13, 2013.

As the document posted on the Web site of the Infrastructure Ministry reads, it is part of the implementation of the national action plan for 2013 on the introduction of the Program for economic reforms for 2010-2014, entitled "A Wealthy Society, A Competitive Economy, and an Efficient State," which foresees the placement of the advertisement exclusively along the sides of buses.

The mentioned norm is to reduce risks of accidents through ensuring there is better visibility from the driver's seat.

According to the authors of the document, this action won't influence the size of revenues form advertising to state and local budgets and state targeted funds.
