Leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov has said that on Monday the regulations committee of the Verkhovna Rada reaffirmed its decision to deprive member of the Batkivschyna faction Serhiy Vlasenko of his powers.

"Anticipating that this will happen (the boycott of the conciliatory council's work), this morning before a meeting of the conciliatory council, we held a meeting of the regulations committee at the invitation of the committee's head. I was surprised that all our lawmakers came to the meeting, while there were no representatives of the opposition. At today's meeting, the committee reaffirmed its decision, which was adopted on February 27," Yefremov said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.

He said that participants of the regulations committee's meeting on February 27 signed a petition to deprive MP Vlasenko of his parliamentary seat.

"Nine out of 17 people signed it," the faction leader said.
