U.S. policy towards Kyiv not to change after presidential election, says Ambassador Tefft
U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft has said that Washington's policy towards Kyiv will not change after the U.S. presidential election.
"I think you will see the continuation of the current policy towards Ukraine and there will be no changes," Tefft told reporters during a breakfast dedicated to the results of the U.S. presidential election in the embassy in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He added that the U.S. was interested in the processes taking place in Ukraine, in particular, in the country's democratic and economic development, as well as establishment of the rule of law. The U.S. will remain consistent in upholding these values and their establishment in Ukraine, the U.S. diplomat said.
