Yefremov: Parliament could consider draft state budget for 2013 on November 6

The draft state budget for 2013 could be considered by the Verkhovna Rada of the current convocation on November 6, the head of the parliamentary faction of the Regions Party, MP Oleksandr Yefremov, has said.

"It's simply unrealistic to form a budget ahead of parliamentary elections, when each MP who plans to participate in the elections will try to get some money for his or her village or town," he said at a press conference at the party's official press center on Wednesday.

Yefremov said that it would be logical if the budget for next year were to be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of the current convocation, but after the elections.

"I don't know how it will work. Time will show. Time is needed for the new parliament to start its work, but we need to have the state budget by the end of the year," he said.

"I think that nothing will prevent us from calmly considering and adopting this document on November 6, after the elections," Yefremov said.
