Zelenskyy convinced most Ukrainians will return from abroad after hot stage of war

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is convinced that after the end of the hot stage of the Russian-Ukrainian war, most of the citizens of Ukraine, who left abroad after it began, will return home.

"First of all, a large number of people want to return ... there are people who talk about safety. As soon as one or another stage of this war ends, or the hot stage of the war ends, or when the missiles do not fly, I am sure that most of the people will start returning," Zelenskyy said on the air of the national telethon on Thursday.

He also noted that after the end of martial law, "Ukraine will spend money, first of all, on reconstruction." "A lot of money will be provided. From different sources. From business, Russian frozen assets. Our budget, security, and defense sectors amount to UAH 1.4 trillion, that's just a lot of money. And, of course, a percentage of this money will be spent on recovery. Very quickly. Immediately. It's clear, logical things. People will come to work," the president said.

According to him, major reconstruction projects in Ukraine will require a large number of jobs. "It is desirable that they be Ukrainians. I think, first of all, it will be Ukrainians," Zelenskyy said.
