Zelenskyy, Ukrainian rabbis light Hanukkah candles

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the ceremony of lighting Hanukkah candles.
"Today is both Christmas and the beginning of Hanukkah. It is great that in Ukraine we can celebrate such holidays with respect for each other, communicate, live together and wish different people one victory – the victory of light over darkness. And today, together with the rabbis of Ukraine, I lit Hanukkah candles," Zelenskyy said in the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
According to the president, the Hanukkah menorah was presented by Argentine President Javier Miley during his inauguration in December 2023.
Zelenskyy congratulated the Jewish community on the holiday of Hanukkah and wished Jewish families peace, joy and a generous fate.
"Let the Hanukkah burn in every home, give strength and fill with new hopes, strengthen faith in the power of truth and justice," he said.
