Government postpones making all decisions on SPF until fund's operations audited

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers postpones making decisions regarding the issue raised by the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) until the operations of the fund are audited, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said at a government meeting on Wednesday.
"I propose to postpone deciding on all issues related to SPF until we receive the public report on the fund's operations. I think that we should create a serious group that would check how and what property SPF manages and how effectively the fund does it. Here is the comprehensive proposal. Stop all other issues regarding the transfer of assets and other things," he said.
Groysman ordered First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv to prepare a mechanism for checking the fund by late December.
"Let's even attract international audit companies – I would find the funds," he said.
Earlier Groysman criticized the SPF over a failure to hold the repeated tender to sell Odesa Port-Side Plant.
