Ukraine implementing gas transit liabilities despite drops of gas pressure on Russian border

Ukraine is implementing its liabilities to carry out transit of Russia gas to Europe in the full amount, and doubts expressed by the Russian president about it is the continuous long-lasting discriminative campaign, Ukrtransgaz said in a statement on Tuesday.
"Ukraine was, is and will be a reliable gas transit country. The statement that the country allegedly unlawfully pumps gas is the continuous long-lasting discriminative campaign of the northern neighbor," the operator of the Ukrainian gas transport system said.
Ukrtransgaz public relations department head Maksym Beliavsky said on Facebook that lower gas pressure maintained by Russia again was recorded on Tuesday at the entry points to the Ukrainian gas transport system from the direction of Russia.
"To northern neighbors: before accusing without any grounds you should first increase pressure on your border station to the level described in the contract. Today pressure at Sudzha compressor station (Russia) is 57.7 atm with the limit of 60 atm," he said.
He added that, despite this, transit liabilities are implemented.
"Some 277 million cubic meters entered Ukraine and 277.2 million cubic meters was sent to Europe," he said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 14 talking to German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed fears that Ukraine could unlawfully pump gas meant for Europe in winter.
