Ukrtransgaz hopes Russian gas transit to be steady in 2016

Public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz hopes that Russian gas transit volume will be steady in 2016, Ukrtransgaz President Ihor Prokopiv said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
"We see that now it is the level of 2015, the same 67 billion cubic meters. We will receive $2 billion," he said.
He said that now the contracts with Gazprom are restricted and there is no firmness in this.
Ukraine in 2015 posted a 7.9% rise in natural gas transit to Europe and Moldova, to 67.082 billion cubic meters.
Ukrtransgaz, fully owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, operates a system of trunk gas pipelines and 12 underground gas storage facilities in the country.
