Talks with IFIs on budget and tax package would be hard – prime minister

Ukrainian Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatseniuk has instructed government members to attentively work on the texts of the bills from the budget and tax package passed on December 24 and at night on December 25 with the parliamentary committees and prepare for the negotiations with international financial institutions (IFIs) on the continuation of financing the country as best as possible.
"We will have to hold hard talks with our international partners to receive financial assistance in the future," he said, opening a cabinet meeting in Kyiv on Friday.
All figures and the law on the national budget are to be checked if they meet Ukraine's liabilities to the IFIs.
"We should prove them [IFIs] that despite the extremely difficult political situation, politicians demonstrated wisdom," he said.
