Jaresko forms revamped Finance Ministry leadership - source

The Managing Partner of Aksonova and Associates audit company Olena Makeieva, former Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Roman Kachur, Ukraine's Representative to the EBRD Artem Shevalev, and ITT Investment Group President Oksana Markarova have been elected to the revamped leadership of the Finance Ministry.
An informed government source has told Interfax-Ukraine that the Cabinet of Ministers plans to approve the candidates as deputy finance ministers at a meeting on Wednesday.
According to the source, it is assumed that Makeieva will oversee income direction, Kachur - social issues, Shevalev –European integration and financial policies, while Markarova will become chief of staff.
The source said that First Deputy Minister Ihor Umansky retained his position, while the state debt department will be headed by Vitaliy Lisovenko, who until recently held the post of deputy minister.
At the same time, deputy ministers Denys Fudashkin and Volodymyr Matviychuk, who were elected to their positions before the appointment of the current finance minister Natalie Jaresko, will be dismissed.
