Aksyonov confirms return of Ukrainian National Bank's money kept in Crimea to Kyiv

The Crimean authorities have confirmed that they returned UAH 3.7 billion kept at the Ukrainian National Bank's repository in Crimea to Kyiv.
Republic of Crimea head Sergei Aksyonov gave a positive answer after being asked by reporters on Friday whether the cash stored at this repository at the time of Crimea's reconnection with Russia had been returned to the Ukrainian authorities.
"You can ask representatives of the federal government to comment on this issue," Aksyonov said without providing further details.
Earlier on Friday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced that UAH 3.7 billion in cash kept at the Ukrainian National Bank's repository on the Crimean peninsula had been returned to Kyiv.
