Deputy director Hombolevsky heads Boryspil airport

Serhiy Hombolevsky, who earlier was deputy director of Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), has been appointed the director general of the airport.

The Infrastructure Ministry told Interfax-Ukraine that the appointment was stipulated in ministry order No. 46-O of March 31, 2014.

As reported, Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Maksym Burbak by order No. 36-O of March 12, 2014 dismissed Oleksiy Kochanov from the post of director general of the Boryspil International Airport state enterprise (Kyiv) on the basis of an application submitted by him.

Boryspil International Airport is the main airport of the country and accounts for 50% of the passenger air transportation in Ukraine. More than 50 airlines fly from Boryspil to more than 100 destinations.

Boryspil International Airport is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
