Boryspil airport expects passenger traffic in 2014 to rise by 15-25%

Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv) is expecting passenger traffic in 2014 to grow by 15-25% compared to 2013, airport CEO Oleksiy Kochanov has told reporters.
Under the pessimistic scenario, the airport expects passenger traffic over the year to reach 9.2 million people (15% more than in 2013). Under the optimistic scenario, passenger traffic could reach 10 million passengers, which is 25% more than in 2013.
In addition, he said that, according to the requested slots for summer navigation in 2014, the intensity of flights within Ukraine is expected to grow by 45% in April, in particular more than double to and from Lviv, to rise by 88% to/from Odesa, and by 71% to/from Simferopol.
Kochanov also noted that the airport is certainly expecting net profit in 2014 to grow.
Boryspil International Airport is Ukraine's largest airport, serving more than 50% of passenger traffic of the country. It is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
More than 50 airlines, operating over 100 routes worldwide, perform regular flights from the airport.
