UIA assigned to several charter flights in winter navigation period

The commission for the formation and realization of state policy on the exploitation of aviation routes with the participation of representatives of the Infrastructure Ministry and the State Aviation Service of Ukraine has issued assignments to charter flights in the winter season for Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv), the press service of the ministry reported.

The ministry said that UIA was assigned to perform charter flights from Kharkiv, Lviv and Zaporizhia to Hurghada (Egypt), from Odesa to Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt) and from Kyvi to Erzurum (Turkey).

In addition, other airlines were assigned new flights, in particular, Dniproavia to the Dnipropetrovsk-Baku (Azerbaijan) route, Khors Airline – the Kyiv-Tbilisi (Georgia) route and Yan Air –the Kyiv-Tel-Aviv route.

UIA was founded in 1992. The airline's base airport is Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv). In 2013, the air carrier aims to boost passenger transportation by 60.7% from 2012, to 4.5 million people.

UIA's fleet consists of 37 aircraft: 31 Boeing 737, one Boeing 767 and five Embraer 190 aircraft.
