Azarov orders within week to develop mechanism for simplifying grain logistics

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Income and Tax Ministry, the Infrastructure Ministry and the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food to develop in a week a mechanism to simplify logistics and reduce costs on the grain market, and submit it to the government for consideration.

"I instruct the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, which coordinates the work of this commission, jointly with the Income and Tax Ministry, the Infrastructure Ministry and the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food to develop in a week a comprehensive mechanism to simplify logistics and reduce costs on the grain market, and submit it to the government for consideration," the prime minister said, when opening a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv on Wednesday.

The premier also criticized the Income and Tax Ministry for taking the initiative to introduce a procedure for issuing certificates that requires numerous documents and approvals.

"It turns out that the Income and Tax Ministry initiated such a procedure for issuing certificates to manufacturers that requires numerous documents and approvals. This is a completely superfluous obstacle," he said.
