Azarov wants order to be brought to sale of rail tickets to southern regions in Ukraine

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has instructed Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Kozak to bring order to the sale of railway tickets in southern regions of Ukraine.
"People complain that they cannot buy train tickets to the south. At the same time, they said, the trains are running half-empty. If this is so, then there is obvious abuse or negligence by responsible managers at the Infrastructure Ministry," he said, while opening a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Wednesday.
"I warn you, Minister Kozak, about your personal responsibility for bringing order to this sphere," Azarov said.
He said that people should have the opportunity to holiday without any obstacles. In this context, the Infrastructure Ministry should organize tight controls and audit work with the involvement of law enforcement agencies.
Azarov instructed the government's secretariat to check how ticket sales are organized in big industrial centers.
"Introduce public controls. If necessary, put on additional trains. But absolute order and fair access to transport services must simply exist, without any exceptions and excuses," he said.
