Montenegrin, Lithuanian premiers to visit Ukraine this week

Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic will make an official visit to Ukraine this week, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

"The program of the visit includes talks with Ukraine's Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, and a meeting with Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak. On June 14, the Montenegrin prime minister will participate in the First International Conference 'Ukraine and Partners,'" Acting Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's Information Policy Department Yevhen Perebyinis said.

According to him, Ukraine and Montenegro are to sign interagency agreements on international road transport, cooperation in protecting against natural disasters, an agreement on scientific and technological cooperation, as well as an inter-departmental memorandum on cooperation in combating crimes.

In addition, on June 14, 2013, Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius will visit Ukraine.

"The aim of the visit is to deepen the Ukrainian-Lithuanian strategic partnerships, maintaining the traditionally high dynamics of political dialogue, expand mutually beneficial economic cooperation between Ukraine and Lithuania, as well as to get Lithuania's support in the European integration of our country," Perebyinis said.

He added that this is the first visit of the newly elected head of the Lithuanian government to Ukraine, which follows the official visit of Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to Lithuania on July 6, 2013.

The Lithuanian prime minister is also scheduled to hold talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Azarov and meet with Speaker Rybak. In addition, during the visit, Butkevicius will take part in the international business forum "Ukraine and Partners."
