UIA transfers all international regular flights to Terminal D at Boryspil airport

1 min read

Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kyiv) on May 30, 2013 transferred all international regular flights to Terminal D at Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv region), airport director general Anton Volov said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

He noted that in summer 2011 Terminals B and F worked at the breaking point of their capacity and the commissioning of Terminal D allowed the redistribution of the growing passenger traffic.

Volov added that the capacity of Terminal D is three times larger than that of Terminal F, at which UIA previously operated.

UIA President Yuriy Miroshnykov, in turn, said that the company performs charter flights from Terminal F.

Commenting on the company's transferring to Terminal D, Miroshnykov noted a number of disadvantages that remain in the terminal.

First of all, these are a lack of shops, food courts and passenger service points in connection with the inefficient system of resolving the issue of rents, and the impossibility to transfer passengers between domestic and international flights.
